About Us

In 2015 the company was purchased by Brady Baus.  At 28 years old, Brady is ambitious about his plans for Chimney & Stone Specialists. He bought the 38-year-old McPherson business April 1, 2015 and has also become the exclusive dealer of Heat & Glo fireplaces in Wichita. Brady started working part time in the fireplace business as a teenager with his father, Alan Baus, who’s been in the fireplace business for 30 years.  Brady is a graduate from Wichita State University.  While attending WSU Brady worked in the fireplace department at Fahnestock, which specializes in plumbing, electric, and heating and air conditioning work.  He eventually ran the fireplace department and spent seven years with Fahnestock before buying Chimney & Stone Specialists. Brady was working on his master’s degree at Wichita State before deciding his future was in the fireplace business. He hopes to set the fireplace business ablaze in central Kansas. His plans are to serve central Kansas from Emporia to Hays, from the Oklahoma line to Nebraska. The company prides itself in doing things right the first time. We always meet or exceed manufacturer guidelines and local codes no matter where the job is.  Chimney & Stone handles four major types of fireplaces- gas, wood, pellet and electric. Outdoor fireplaces, fire tables and fire pits, have gained popularity and make a great addition to backyards, decks and patios.  Other outstanding brands carried by Chimney & Stone include Harman, Lopi, Regency and Fireplace Xtrordinair.  With Certified Technicians, Chimney & Stone consists of 6 experienced, friendly and knowledgable employees.
